This guide has been prepared to help you find the Throw Pro that is right for you. It is to be used only as a guide. Please take into account the player's ability, knowledge and age level before buying any of the devices below. It is important that the player is able to perform the drills and exercises correctly with the right number of repetitions before moving on to heavier weights.

In the case of Throw Pro, heavier is not always better!

Throw Pro Softball Training Devices

Our Throw Pro softballs have been designed using age and ball size. Hand size is the most important factor when deciding which Throw Pro is right for you. For success with this product it is critical to perform the drills and exercises correctly, and you cannot do that if your hand comes off the ball constantly. Because we don't throw these devices, correct technique is more important than the size of the ball. If you have small hands you are better off with a smaller Throw Pro in order to get the best results overall.

TPS10-005 Throw Pro Softball - 10" ball - 5 oz - Ages 6 to 8 depending on ability. This is the intro Throw Pro for softball players to learn proper arm mechanics and arm and hand slot. If your player is a beginner, then this is the one for them.

TPS10-008 Throw Pro Softball - 10" ball - 8 oz - Ages 6 to 10; and older players with small hands. This is for the younger, more advanced player and older players that have very small hands.

Best Practices:
  • 8U to 12U League player- TPS10-008 Throw Pro Softball 10" - 8 oz - This device will be used every day for warming up at practice and games and at home to perform the Intro program. The handle ball is a 10" softball and will be easier to perform the Intro drills and exercises. This is the best overall Throw Pro device for learning the proper arm slot and throwing mechanics.

TPS12-008 Throw Pro Softball - 12" ball - 8 oz - Ages 9 to 14; and players with larger hands. This is also a recommended training device for high school aged players to perform speed and fast twitch drills.

TPS12-010 Throw Pro Softball - 12" ball - 10 oz - Ages 12 through high school depending on ability. Just like the baseball version, this ball can be used throughout their playing years as an everyday training/warm-up device.

Best Practices:
  • 12U to 14U Travel Ball player - TPS10-008 Throw Pro Softball 10" - 8 oz and/or TPS12-010 Throw Pro Softball 12" - 10 oz- This combination gives the player both devices that will be used all the way through High School. It allows the player to perform the shoulder maintenance program using both units (2 pack). This is a very good combination for high school players if the player has small hands. If the player has larger hands you may want to substitute theTPS10-008 Throw Pro Softball 10" - 8 oz for a TPS11-008 Throw Pro Softball 11" - 8 oz.

TPS12-012 Throw Pro Softball - 12" ball - 12 oz - This unit is only for the advanced player in high school and college and should only be used by players who are above-average in ability and strength. "Playing shortstop is not easy. Strength and accuracy are essential to making plays. With the excersises I have been doing using the Throw Pro I can attest to the difference in my game. I an throwing at least 5mph more than I was 3 months ago before I began using my Throw Pro. I no longer feel soreness in my shoulder and the speed and accuracy i see is great. I use my Throw Pro before games to loosen up and every night build and maintain consistency. I anticpate great development in both more speed and accuracy as I continue to implement the Throw Pro in my daily routine. Thank you coach Joe for introducing me to Throw Pro and for helping me better my game."[more]

"Matt Perisho has been working with my son to prepare him for his junior year in high school. He introduced us to the Throw Pro during practice and it offered immediate results. My son loves the Throw Pro and the feedback it offers. With the Throw Pro you know immediately if your pitching motion is correct. The drills are enjoyable and the results are fantastic. We have been telling all of our friends about this wonderful invention that is going to change the way baseball practices take place. We can't wait until it is available to the market place. You know you have a winner when the athlete enjoys using the product and improvement is immediate. Thank you Matt Perisho and Throw Pro for this fantastic and revolutionary training device."[more]

"My son has been using the Throw Pro for a few months now and what a big difference it has made on his speed and accuarcy. Before using the Throw Pro he struggled on controlling his pitches. The Throw Pro has helped him by building the muscles that he needs to be a dominant pitcher. I like the results the Throw Pro has given my son. I'm going to start having my daughter use it as well. She is a catcher for her club softball team and I'm sure it will help to make her throws more consistent and increase strength and muscles needed to be successful behind the plate."[more]

About 7 months ago I suffered a major shoulder injury requiring surgery that caused me to almost never play baseball again. But I didn't want that. I had the choice to either give up or have the surgery and tough out the excruciating pain of rehab.\nThe therapy and rehab exercises that helped me the most was the Throw Pro. I have been using it now for 3 months and I have been able to increase my arm strength and accuracy at the same time. Throw Pro is always in my bag and I use it everyday for warm ups and post workout exercises.\nI am very happy with the product and encourage everyone injury free or post injury to try it out.[more]

Sound product developed by people that know what it takes to progress to high school ball and beyond.\nI have started using the Throw Pro as well to help improve my own throwing motion and help keep a middle aged shoulder alive and kicking at a competitive level. I've been using it and really like it...\nI also have my swimmer daughter using it for rotator cuff strengthening.... Multi uses\nA quality product. Results driven. Fun to use and it really works."[more]
